Position: Client Manager
Location: Maidstone

About the Role:
As a Client Manager, you will be the first point of contact for our valued clients, responsible for managing relationships and ensuring all client deadlines are met. You will play a crucial role in understanding client needs, providing proactive and reactive support, and ensuring the highest level of service. This role requires a balance of empathy, strategic thinking, and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Client Rapport: Show genuine interest in clients’ day-to-day activities, empathize with their challenges, and offer valuable advice beyond accounts and tax.
- Service Level Management: Ensure work is within the scope of the agreement and make judgment calls to balance client support and service scope.
- Proactive Issue Resolution: Keep the Managing Director informed of relevant client issues and address potential problems before they escalate.
- Team Support: Collaborate with team members and other Client Managers to provide the best possible service.
- Client Support: Provide proactive support by notifying clients of tax changes, conducting Xero reviews, and offering tax planning advice. Offer reactive support through telephone, email, and Xero assistance.
- Deadline Monitoring: Ensure all deadlines are met, including VAT and CIS returns, accounts preparation, and client setup processes.
- Supervision: Oversee Client Manager Assistants and outsourced bookkeepers, ensuring high standards of work.
- Client Meetings: Attend all client meetings, including compliance and pre-year-end meetings, and provide valuable insights and support.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare personal tax returns, P11D forms, and quarterly reports for FC clients. Ensure accurate monthly management accounts and audit-standard working papers.

Qualifications:
- Minimum AAT level 4
- Would suit ACA or ACCA Qualified
- Proven experience in client management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of accounting and tax principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Xero and other accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
