“Dreams without goals are just dreams. And ultimately, they fuel disappointment. On the road to achieving your dreams, you must apply discipline but more importantly, consistency, because without commitment you’ll never start, but without consistency, you’ll never finish.” Denzel Washington

With a new year comes new challenges and new plans. We often start a new year looking ahead with anticipation and saying good riddance to the old year. I don’t know about you, but I often come back from the Christmas break full of ideas, enthusiasm, and plans, but sometimes this enthusiasm drops off within the first few days of being back.

Not this year though! Because this year, I have decided to approach things differently – I have decided to write things down. I am hoping this simple act will make the difference between dreaming and achieving my goals.

This year we launch, in earnest, our Goal Setter Software™– with associated smart phone app -that aims to empower you on your journey to success. It is designed to be your ultimate companion in setting, achieving, and managing your business goals.

We want you to turn your dreams into reality because, as Denzel says, dreams without goals will ultimately fuel disappointment.

We are sending out personalised invitations to the launch event on Wednesday 31st January, so if you are a client of Accsys Accountants, and are reading this, keep an eye out in the post.

What does your year ahead bring?

Despite our shiny new software, if you have never tried setting goals you can start straight away, right now. Write down the things you want to achieve this year; write them anywhere…on the back of an envelope if you have to.

Remember “You miss a 100% of the shots you don’t take.” This famous quote is a powerful reminder of the importance of taking action in order to achieve our goals. It’s a reminder that we can’t hit a target we don’t aim for, and that we can’t score if we don’t take the shot.

I have a good feeling about 2024 – it’s going to be a good year – the economy will bounce back, and we will recover from the horror show that Brexit and Covid have been for it.

I base my prediction on nothing more than enthusiasm and optimism, but you can’t blame me for that. So, here’s to 2024 – Happy New Year, bring it on.
